Ford Transit Custom overview

Famously founded by Henry Ford, the American Ford Motor Company has revolutionised the vehicle manufacturing industry. Ford has been family run for over 100 years and is one of the largest family run companies in the world. Following the success of the Ford Transit van introduced in 1965, the mid-sized, front wheel drive Ford Transit Custom was introduced in 2012.

The Ford Transit Custom is the UK’s biggest seller, and has significantly raised the bar in the mid sized van market segment. In both 2013 and 2014, the Transit Custom won What Van? Van of the Year. More recently, the Ford Transit Custom was awarded 2018 Used Van of the Year by What Van? 2016 saw Ford add a new more efficient EcoBlue diesel Custom van to the range, while it received a full mid-life facelift at the end of 2017 for the 2018 model year - read more
